  1. Ooh, the start of fall fragrances. How far north are you going? (My list assumes suburbs/country rather than NYC.)

Might I suggest for your trip:
A decant of Balmain Ambre Gris to test in cooler weather
PD Amoureuse in case of an Indian summer – the lush florals would be gorgeous in crisp, sunny weather
One of the Neil Morris Vault scents and some Bois des Isles to properly embrace the fall spirit – BdI I feel especially captures fall foliage (sparkling aldehydes over soft sandalwood) and offers a warm and inviting presence

    Have a wonderful trip!

  2. Oh some of my favorites!! I actually have all mentioned and defiantely will put them in the pile to choose from.
Buffalo is north western new york, and also spending time in a smaller town near the Penn border that sees cooler weather. I am PRAYING for cooler weather!

  3. ince it’s vacation, you need a laid-back scent, something like Bronze Goddess.

You’ll also need something soothing, especially after a long car ride with the entire gypsy clan….perhaps something gourmand, something you can melt into after a long noisy day, like Bois Farine or Lost Marc’h Lann-Ael or better yet, Vero’s Kiki.

If you plan to go out on a “hubba-hubba” evening, you need an intoxicating sexy fragrance, perhaps Rochas Femme?

BTW, love your blog! Have a great vacation!

  4. i agree with taking the DelRaes that you love , Cuir de Russie instead of Bois des Isles …maybe eau de merveilles for a crowded family event..AND .courtesan !!!

  5. Decants and samples, of course. One of something outrageous, because a) you might like it, and that would make another checkmark in the positive section of “what my vacation was like, and/or b) it can be a conversation piece while visiting among relatives. 🙂

Seriously, though, I’d also pack a scent that I felt was uber-me: PG Bois Blond, or L’Artisan Fleur de Narcisse. Something refreshing, and potentially helpful with headaches, like Guerlain Eau de Cologne Imperiale. And something that seemed to match the locale. Buffalo…hmmm….hope you get that cooler weather after all. Oh! And comfort? Organza Indecence, or Musc Samarkind?

  6. BTW, that’s a great picture!!
